About the Role

Reporting to the Regional General Manager, you will be responsible for driving profitable growth, increasing market share, and leading a high-performing team focused on securing major project opportunities across Queensland. This is a pivotal leadership role that combines strategic planning, business development, customer engagement, and team leadership.

With significant investment continuing across Queensland's infrastructure, commercial, health, education, residential and mixed-use development sectors, including projects associated with the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, this is an exceptional opportunity to influence Schindler's growth trajectory and strengthen our position as a market leader.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the Queensland New Installations sales strategy to achieve sustainable growth and market share objectives.
  • Lead, coach and develop a team of Technical Sales Consultants, fostering a high-performance and customer-centric culture.
  • Identify, pursue and secure major project opportunities across commercial, residential, infrastructure, healthcare, education and government sectors.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, builders, architects, consultants, project managers and key decision-makers.
  • Drive pipeline management, forecasting accuracy, tender submissions, contract negotiations and project handovers.
  • Monitor market activity, competitor trends and emerging opportunities to inform commercial strategy.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering and Senior Leadership teams to deliver innovative customer solutions and exceptional project outcomes.
  • Ensure a strong focus on customer experience, business profitability and long-term strategic partnerships.

About You

You are a commercially astute sales leader with a proven ability to drive revenue growth, build high-performing teams and develop strong market relationships. You thrive in complex sales environments and have experience leading teams that secure large-scale projects through a consultative and strategic approach.

What You'll Bring

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Engineering, Construction Management, Property, Marketing or a related discipline.
  • Proven sales leadership experience within construction, building services, infrastructure, engineering, industrial, technical solutions or related industries.
  • Demonstrated success leading business development and sales teams in a B2B environment.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, sales pipelines, forecasting and tender processes.
  • Excellent negotiation, stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
  • Experience working with developers, contractors, consultants, government agencies or major project stakeholders.
  • Ability to influence and engage both internal and external stakeholders at executive level.
  • Strong analytical and strategic planning capabilities.
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence.

What Will Set You Apart

  • Experience within the lift and escalator industry.
  • Exposure to major construction, infrastructure or building services projects.
  • Established relationships across Queensland's property, construction, infrastructure or development sectors.
  • Knowledge of project delivery environments, Australian Standards and the National Construction Code (NCC).
  • Experience implementing sales performance initiatives, CRM optimisation and data-driven decision making.
  • Strategic account management and complex solution-selling expertise.
